| Summary: | The current research entitled as: Feasibility study for the creation of an ice cream micro company in La Maná canton, year 2023 was carried out in order to know the feasibility of the production and marketing of cold products such as ice cream. To fulfill the planned purpose according to the objectives, it was necessary to do research: formative, bibliographic, descriptive, and field research which allowed reaching theoretical and bibliographic information from various authors. Likewise, the descriptive and field research were essential to diagnose the supply and demand of ice cream through the application of surveys directed to the owners and consumers of the canton. Through the market study it was possible to establish that there was a demand of 16,853 and a supply of 9,120, so giving an unsatisfied demand of 5,854 units. In addition, the technical study described the sketch of the location, availability of resources, production process, distribution of infrastructure, project requirements, organization, and the legal framework that was necessary for the operation of the company. The economic and financial study showed that the total required investment was $15,387.38; 15% was financed by own equity and the remaining 85%, with a bank loan from CACPECO. A general break-even point of $0.48, the NPV for this ice cream micro company showed a $ 58,074.46 and an IRR of 52%, values that demonstrated the viability of this proposal. |
