Résumé:This research aims to implement a prototype based on Gateway IoT technology for real-time monitoring and control of a variable frequency drive in the laboratories of the Technical University of Cotopaxi. It used Modbus RS 485 communication for practical development, which allows IoT communication of the equipment. In addition, we configured the calculated variables in the V-Net platform, in this case: voltage, current, and frequency, to establish historical data to determine trend lines. Additionally, the operator has access to the V-Box account for data processing. For the operation, the user enters the frequency and the direction of motor rotation, in decimal format or using the control buttons. The interface, which enables the user to operate and monitor the various devices, in this case, the IG5-A frequency inverter, can be used to visualize the behavior of all the equipment and elements installed in the electrical system once it is operational. We compare the IOT control and monitoring prototype about values measured with the ammeter clamp on site as a result we get good results in the measurements, with an error percentage of 0.25% about the current without load and 0.16% with load applied.
