| Summary: | The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance, efficiency, and effectiveness of the various processes carried out in the established two main production lines, in order to identify the issues causing low performance at the automotive workshop. The research analyzed historical data generated through work order sheets, using business intelligence tools like Power BI, data processing using Excel, and the use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The proposed study is designed as a quantitative research focusing on collecting numerical data about operational performance and success indicators. Factors influencing efficiency and service quality were analyzed. The research suggests the use of performance indicators to assess and enhance the operational line performance. These indicators allow measuring aspects such as repair efficiency, response time, customer satisfaction, and staff productivity. They facilitate the identification of problematic areas. The results are based on a study of processes, using historical data and key indicators to detect performance issues, categorize processes, conduct operational studies, propose an appropriate model of key performance indicators, and suggest improvement strategies. The evaluated KPIs include: delivery compliance rate (10.14%), worker effectiveness (87.5%), car intake (not meeting the proposed goal), performance in quick jobs (below the established target), among others. The process classification revealed that some quick and required jobs have performed above average, while others have shown deficiencies. Patterns in vehicle intake were observed, identifying the predominant brand and origin. The research highlights that KPI analysis and the use of tools like Power BI allow for more effective data visualization and understanding. Improvement proposals are then presented in the identified areas where performance can be enhanced, especially in the quick jobs line, utilizing the obtained indicators and creating an Ishikawa diagram to identify and address inefficiencies. It is concluded that the workshop faces operational challenges, but also areas for improvement are identified. The results provide a foundation for strategic decisions that can increase efficiency and overall performance at "Automecano del Sur". |
