Description
Summary:Satellite images derived from Lansadt and NDVI were evaluated as tools for supervision in the corn crop (Zea maiz). The normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) was used to determine the possible stress situations in the corn crop through traffic lights. The NDVI was calculated with the use of the Arc Gis software, obtaining the following results: in the corn crop, red colors can be observed with values ranging between 0.09 and 0.23, which indicates there are problems of a physiological nature; in yellow color, values ranging between 0.23 and 0.37 of regular corn crop are observed; and finally, values of 0.37 and 0.52 of cultivated corn area that is in good physiological condition. The researcher obtained the fPAR (Radiant energy fraction) after the analysis of the NDVI, where the values of affectation that correspond to 0.68% of the total area of the corn are in perfect condition, according to Potter. Regarding Weigand and Asrar, 3.14% of the area is in perfect health.
