Shrnutí:The Technical University of Cotopaxi has several facilities dedicated to teaching and training professionals. The present research work was carried out in the feeder of Block A, which supplies energy to the Laboratories area of the CIYA School. The purpose of the project is to improve the electric power quality of this area for compliance with the national regulation CONELEC 004/01 and international regulations. For the development of the research, a FLUKE 435 network analyzer was installed in the feeder of the laboratories and proceeded with the analysis of the measurements, additionally, the load survey and the design of the electric single-line diagram were carried out. Another tool used for the analysis of the electrical parameters of the laboratories is the EASY POWER technical software, with which power flow and harmonics were run and it was easy to identify the problems present in the electrical network. The problems found in the electrical system of the laboratories is the low power factor and the presence of harmonics of both current and voltage, for this solution alternatives were raised to improve the levels of the electrical parameters that define the power quality . These proposals will be technically and economically evaluated to guarantee the feasibility of the study carried out. At the end of the investigation, conclusions and recommendations are added to maintain a good quality of energy.
