总结:The Internet of Things (IoT) is the interconnection of objects in the physical world through the Internet. The use of IoT in the home provides the user with a more comfortable lifestyle, allowing remote management and administration of practical devices such as doors, webcams, appliances, among others. The purpose of this research is to design an IoT reference model through its basic principles for the design of smart homes, which contributes to the adoption and implementation of this technology. For this purpose, in the first stage, the literature related to the subject was reviewed, theoretically verifying the research problem. In general, the analyzed works present limited documents that contemplate reference models applying specific IoT standards for this field. For the design of the reference model, the most important characteristics of the models and approaches reviewed in the literature were analyzed and recorded; Next, the expert validation technique was applied to obtain the data that allowed the model to be validated through linear regression. Subsequently, this reference model followed an experimental process, through simulation in Cisco Packet Tracer, which was used to design and verify the operation of the IoT in the home, in addition, basic devices were implemented in the home following the model proposed for its verification process. . As a result of the research, a reference model of IoT for homes is obtained, which will allow planning and implementing these technologies.
