Resumo:The current research project was carried out in Santa Rosa Campus of Moraspungo parish, in Pangua Canton, Cotopaxi Province, with a geographical location latitude of 1°11'00.0 ̈ S 79°12'00.0 ̈ W, and an altitude of 500 meters above sea level, the project lasted 80 days, intending to evaluate the agronomic behavior of the chive crop (Allium schoenoprassum) with the application of organic fertilizers, the Tukey test was applied at 5% in the investigation, establishing a design of Completely randomized blocks (DBCA) 4 treatments and 5 repetitions, whose chive crop variables with the application of organic fertilizers were; plant height (cm), leaf length (cm), stem diameter (cm), number of leaves (unit), root length (cm), bulb diameter (cm), plant weight (cm), weight per plot (cm), and yield (kg/ha). The best results were presented by the Biocompost treatment, in plant height with 35.37 cm, leaf length with 42.12 cm, stem diameter with 12.80 mm, root length 8.79 cm, bulb diameter with 2 .59 cm, weight per plant with 95.43 g, weight per plot with 3817.33 g, and yield with a value of 22454.90 kg, in the case of number of leaves the variable the winning treatment was humus with a value of 19.43 sheets. The economic analysis of the best treatment in the cultivation of chives to the application of organic fertilizers was carried out, being the Biocompost the one which has an investment cost of $22.38 with a gross income of $41.98 which represents a net benefit of 19, 60 corresponding to 88% profitability.
