| Summary: | The objective is to evaluate Ozone (O3) as an ecological alternative for the control of the Diptero (Anthomyiidae) in the cultivation of Chocho (Lupinus mutabilis Sweet). For this, different concentrations of ozone in water were used. The study design was experimental Complete Randomized Blocks (AXB) with 6 treatments and 5 repetitions, with a total of 30 experimental units. It was applied in the Cotopaxi Province, Ecuador. The mortality results in percentages of the treatments at 5 days were the following: T1 in the concentration interaction of 0.15 ppm and frequency of 4 applications in two days (C1F1) 43.3%; T2 in the concentration interaction of 0.15 ppm and frequency of 6 applications in two days (C1F2) 23.3%; T3 in the interaction concentration 0.28 ppm and frequency of 4 applications in two days (C2F1) 48.3%; T4 in the interaction concentration 0.28 ppm and frequency of 6 applications in two days (C2F2) 68.3%; T5, which is the control, water was applied with a frequency of 4 applications in two days (T1F1); and T6, which is the control, water was applied with a frequency of 4 applications in two days (T1F2) 0%. The best treatment for the control of the lupine apex fly was T4. In conclusions, an effect was observed in the rockers that act as stabilizing organs of displacement in the fly. In addition, an alteration in the color of the fly's eyes was evidenced. Finally, a significant reduction of the abdominal part was seen |
