Summary:The purpose of this research project is to carry out a study to determine the feasibility of medium voltage electrical service, with which the implementation of compact medium voltage networks is planned for the concession area of Empresa Electrical Ambato Regional Centro Norte S.A., in order to integrate this new type of network to the medium voltage distribution system, this, due to the growth in demand, provide services to consumers in a timely and adequate manner of electricity supply, among others. The compact networks are currently being used in areas where there is lush vegetation, due to their design, manufacture of conductors and the space used for their construction. Therefore, the study will begin with the technical and economic analysis of the conductors to be used, both for the phases and for the carrying cable (messenger cable), in the same way the main components of the structures that correspond to the compact networks will be mentioned, making known the main characteristics of each one of them. In Ecuador, the electric distribution companies must comply with each of the parameters established by the Electricity Regulation and Control Agency, which regulates and controls the activities related to the Public Services of Electric Energy and General Public Lighting, contributing to the sustainable and sustainable development of the strategic electricity sector, protecting the interests of the citizens. To determine the feasibility of the project will be based on the costs of study, design and construction of a conventional medium voltage network, subway and the new compact type network, for which we will take into account the technical field data, diagrams of medium and low voltage networks existing in the georeferenced ArcGIS system of EEA.S. A, access roads, highways and forestry, with which we will implement the electrical and electromechanical calculations for the construction of compact medium voltage networks.
