| Summary: | This study was carried out with the objective of determining the prevalence of Brucella Canis and associated factors in domestic canines (Canis familiaris) at Rumipamba de Espinozas, Rumipamba de San Isidro, Rumipamba de Villacis Neighborhoods; Seventy-Five blood samples of domestic canines were studied considering their age, sex and provenance; the researcher analyzed them using the method Antigen Test kit consisting of venipuncture in the cephalic vein with an average of 1cc, the test requires 10ul (1 drop). The results indicate two canines positive to Brucella Canis and the Pink Bengal test was applied as confirmatory test of the data; male canines from the Rumipamba de Espinozas neighborhood with an age range between 0-12 months and a prevalence rate of 4% in a young stage; male canine from the Rumipamba de San Isidro Neighborhood with 4% prevalence in an age range between 1-5 years in a stage of reproduction; in reference to sex, a percentage of 68% of males and 32% of females were obtained. Concluding from these results that the prevalence of Brucella Canis does not have a significant value that influences the morbidity of the canines in the Rumipamba de Espinozas, Rumipamba de San Isidro, Rumipamba de Villacis Neighborhoods. |
