| Sumari: | This research has been elaborated with the aim of preserving through the dissemination of the socio-cultural context in which indigenous cultures are part of the subjects of study in the area of social studies for students. The study of indigenous cultures allows students to learn about their origins and the cultural identity that they possess and that is intended to consolidate in every citizen who is part of a nation. The problem has been identified as the fact that the textbooks provided by the Ministry of Education do not provide in-depth knowledge of the country's indigenous cultures. The aim of the project is to investigate and to make known the techniques and tools used by the people of the Tigua community in artistic production, especially the wooden masks that they make and which are recognized more by foreigners than by the local citizens themselves, highlighting the lack of knowledge about the ancestral value that the Tigua culture contributes to the cultural identity of the country. A mixed quantitative and qualitative methodology was used, with the use of techniques such as the survey and the interview, which made it possible to obtain the necessary information for the project. Furthermore, it is categorized as field and bibliographic research since this project involves the scientific study of different authors who have previously studied the Tigua culture. For this reason, the proposal resulting from this research project is the production of an activity booklet containing a contextualized historical review to learn about the origins of the making and use of wooden masks typical of this community. This booklet is aimed especially at students in the 8th grader students of Educación General Básica, this being the level of education. |
