| Резюме: | The present investigation was carried out in Latacunga canton, Belisario Quevedo Parish, Manzana Pamba neighborhood, with the objective of characterizing and evaluating the sustainability of the associated and non-associated producers in the dairy network. The methodology of S. Sarandón (2004) was used. Stratified random sampling was applied for the application of 33 surveys distributed as follows; Surveys were applied to 18 producers associated to the ASPRANUES dairy network and to 15 non-associated producers, 42 qualitative and quantitative variables in the characterization and 12 indicators were analyzed, with 41 sub-indicators of the Economic, Ecological or Environmental and Socio-Cultural dimensions the sector. The results indicate that the UPA's of the sector present as predominant crop pastures and forage mixtures, and as the main economic activity the families are engaged in milk production. In the social field it was determined that there is a low level of schooling since 38.89% of people associated with the dairy network have primary school studies and 53.33% of non-associated people do not have any type of instruction generating a low level of schooling, it was also determined that the intervention of women in the UPA´S is greater with 85% for associated persons and 73.33% for non-associated persons. In the evaluation of sustainability, it was determined that the people associated with the dairy network obtained a general sustainability value of 2.25, which indicates that the UPA's of the associated persons are close to sustainability. People not associated with the dairy network obtained a general sustainability value of 2.10, which indicates that the UPA´S of the non-associated people approach sustainability. |
