La motivación en el rendimiento académico

This research work on “Motivation in Academic Performance” developed in Latacunga, province of Cotopaxi, with students from fifth grade A at “Once de Noviembre” Educational Unit. It was aimed at determining the existing relationship between motivation and academic performance. Through data taken from diverse sources, the importance of motivating learners to achieve a better academic performance and set interest in learning was verified; a survey and an interview were conducted to teaching staff as so as to get the interpretation of data, which in turn allowed the reliability of this study. Results point out to assert that children have got a lack of motivation from their teacher, who later claimed that the excessive documentation to be presented as support of pedagogic activity was a setback preventing her from searching innovative methods that help to motivate her students in the classroom which turns education into traditional and monotonous. The use of methodology and design focused on a quantitative basis with descriptive, documentary and field features with application of methods such as synthetic-analytical, inductive-deductive and statistical was put forward for the development of this research….
