Sažetak:The research project took place in the parish of Pujilí based on the study of Giardiasis, a disease that affects the digestive system of canines and humans, which is a problem of Public importance. The objective of the research was to determine the prevalence of Giardia spp in dogs from Pujilí; the methodology used was simple random where a total of 150 samples of fresh feces were collected, the research used the survey technique to collect information about the canines, the sample was developed using the SNAP test method of Giardia spp, which is an immunochromatography test, with rapid results, which verifies the presence of this protozoan in the canine. The total number of positive Giardia cases was 18 cases, the highest prevalence was found in the neighborhood of Guápulo and Cuatro Esquinas with 2%, followed by San Vicente, La Matrix, La Victoria, November 11 with 1.33%, and The lowest prevalence was located in the Rosita Paredes and Buena Esperanza neighborhood, La Merced, Chimbacalle with 0.67%. The epidemiology map displayed the acquired data. Sex, age, the number of animals, deworming, and water changes were the risk factors examined, resulting in a higher number of positive instances.
