Summary:Nowadays, the development of web applications is monopolizing the software market due to the multiple advantages they offer and their dependence on the Internet for the development of all their functions, leaving aside the typical desktop applications. Web applications have emerged as an intermediary to spread information, as well as to offer services to users. The detailed information is used as a basis to propose an objective to develop a web application to efficiently manage the schedules for each teacher, semester, and career of the Technical University of Cotopaxi - Extension La Maná, responding to the inadequate management of schedules in an educational institution can lead to inefficient allocation of resources and generate difficulties for both administrative staff and for teachers and students themselves. This web application will integrate an intuitive and user-friendly interface, allowing those responsible for the Administrative Area of the university extension to manage and assign schedules in an agile and accurate way. The tool will offer different modules that will allow the uploading of relevant information, such as the curricula of each course and the availability of teachers. To meet this objective, software development algorithms, techniques, and methodologies are applied to ensure an adequate distribution of subjects throughout the semester. The application will contemplate the possibility of making adjustments to the schedules in a simple and efficient way in case of changes in the availability of teachers or in the academic needs of the students. As a result, the web application will help optimize the planning of schedules for teachers and students, streamlining this task for administrative personnel and improving the quality of the educational process. In conclusion, the web application for the systematization of timetable management helped to measure, organize and coordinate the time dedicated by teachers and students to academic tasks.
