Shrnutí:Transformational leadership is focused on enhancing the skill of each individual because a leader can be a trainer of trainers. The problem arose in knowing how transformational leadership affects the generation of labor competencies of the officials of the Municipal GAD in Quinsaloma Canton. The following research aims to analyze the transformational leadership of labor competencies for the improvement of the work performance of the officials of the Municipal GAD in Quinsaloma Canton, to fulfill this purpose, a bibliographical field research was carried out. To determine the results obtained, theoretical methods were used: historical, logistical, deductive and synthetic – analysis, and the empirical method: assessment by experts. Descriptive and explanatory research was also carried out. The study population is 155 officials of the Municipal GAD of the Quinsaloma Canton to whom a questionnaire was applied as an instrument. The most relevant results indicated that there is a relationship between transformational leadership and its predictive variables that affect the development of labor competencies, which are: Idealized influence (0.000< 0.05), Intellectual stimulation (0.016 < 0.05) and Individualized consideration (0.000 < 0.05); on the other hand, the variable that does not explain the dependent variable was Inspirational Motivation (0.064 < 0.05); whose value was B (non-standardized coefficients) negative (-0.12). Based on these results, it is concluded that transformational leadership with its predictive variables already mentioned above affect the generation of labor competencies of the Municipal GAD of the Quinsaloma Canton. With the results found, some recommendations were made which can be implemented to improve the aforementioned problems.
