| Gaia: | The research project aim was to describe, through a life history the social and communication areas by children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Demonstrate in the evolution of their Social and Communicative Development. The methodology used was based on the qualitative approach applying the following methods: inductive method, case study method and descriptive research. The sample was specifically chosen from a student at the "Luis Napoleon Dillon" Basic Education School, diagnosed with ASD, serving as the research subject. The techniques involved interviews and observation, using the instruments as an observation guide for the student in class and an interview guide for the student's, mother and teacher, providing essential information for the life story. In conclusion, the study revealed that the key characteristics of the student with autism include difficulties in socializing, communicating, and hypersensitivity. Eventually, a brochure was obtained with strategies to enhance the social and communicative development in children with autism so that educational performers can apply them in the teaching process of autistic students, in order to improve in a better quality of life for these people and their families. |
