Shrnutí:This research work is a non-experimental, exploratory, which aims to identify ways in which young people of the canton Pujili use wikis for the benefit of their intellectual development, through the case study: students in their last year of high school Unidad Educativa Provincia de Cotopaxi. To this end, it was considered in the problem of educational establishments that do not have a dynamic and interaction through the use of wikis, it could be said that the use of methods, strategies and instructional techniques tend to be essential for an excellent teaching-learning process, that is to say, there is a need of tools for the development of the intellectual knowledge in young people. To reach the results of the investigation be conducted surveys, focus groups and in-depth interviews to students to learn about the level of the use of wikis. At the present time to strengthen education with technological tools is of vital importance because it puts into practice all the knowledge and skills that young people acquire in the classroom. The direct beneficiaries will be students of the Unidad Educativa Provincia de Cotopaxi. The other was raised scientific questions which must be answered in the course of the investigation. In conclusion, the traditional teaching supported by technological strategies will undoubtedly improve the academic performance and intellectual development will increase the students of the Unidad Educativa Provincia de Cotopaxi That is why it proposes the development of a guide for the proper use of Wikis in teaching and learning and for a good intellectual development of young people.
