Summary:In recent years, there are some studies about the emotional salary, it is a concern on the part of the agents or administrators of the organizations, in addition to the fact that it harms both economically and socially. Clearly, the relationship between emotional salary and work performance is demonstrated through the performance of collaborators, where this generates more satisfaction at the time of carrying out their activities. In the course of the development of the investigation it will expose, the factors that affect the emotional salary directly, where it will address the relationship between these non-economic benefits and work performance. At the present time, companies are creating different strategies that generate, support and stimulate economic, productive growth and customer loyalty, among others, there are very few companies that establish any connection and non-economic compensation to their employees, this is a challenge for which it is difficult to raise or include it to improve the quality of working life and therefore performance within the company. As an objective, it will determine the importance of emotional salary and the relationship with work performance, highlighting the studies that are related to this research topic, concluding that the emotional salary became a tool that, if it is not implemented in organizations, creates the true worker dissatisfaction.
