Sumari:Salmonellosis is a bacterial disease, what attacks guinea pigs, this can have an initial epidemic course, followed by endemic behavior, this means that the disease can occur in sudden outbreaks, but then, it becomes a persistent disease within the population, making it an a silent threat. The aim this project was to determine the resistance genes from Salmonella spp., starting 24 samples (rectal swabs, liver, abscesses and lung). These were identified as Salmonella spp., through biochemical tests, subsequently, they were preserved in 50% glycerol for subsequent molecular analysis. The resistance genes identification was made by conventional PCR using the sul2, qnrB and blaCTX-M-9 genes belonging to sulfonamides, quinolones and beta-lactamases, as a positive control was used the ATCC 14028 strain from Salmonella Typhimurium and a negative control was E. coli. The result showed, what 83% the samples were resistant to the sul2 gene with a band size 673 bp (20/24). However, it was not found no resistance to the qnrB (Quinolones) or blaCTX-M-9 (betal-lactamases) gene (0/24). The results this study highlight the importance from antibiotic resistance continuous surveillance in Salmonella in cattle farms, since the sulfonamides use this study shows, which exists resistance, therefore, quinolones and fluoroquinolones would be an option.
