Summary:The objective of this research project is to design a grounding mesh that channels fault overcurrent to safe reference points in order to avoid accidents to people and lengthen the useful life of the machinery that performs activities in the new warehouse. INPLASTIC factory, this activity will lead to the best performance of staff thus provides greater security when it comes to perform their daily tasks. Then, to perform a correct dimensioning of the grounding mesh in the new INPLASTICO factory ship, in the first instance soil resistivity must be measured since the design of the system will largely depend on this parameter. This activity is carried out with the help of an EXTECH 382152 tellurometer using the rod depth method, in the case of that the corresponding measure has a high value; suggestions can be made to increase its conductivity, thus reducing the cost of materials needed for future implementation. Consequently, the final resistance calculation is elaborated by scientific methods such as IEEE - 80 and those exposed by Laurent and Niemann, who have studied the geophysical and geoelectric phenomena of grounding. In addition, a short circuit study designed in the MELSHORT program sponsored by Mitsubishi is prepared based on the equipment that is to be installed in the new shed in order to obtain short-circuit values, the same ones that will allow to dimension the protections and calibers of conductors for each machine as well as the final caliber of the conductor that will be connected from lightning rods, measurement and protection boards, metal structure; to the ground mesh, preventing the flow of pitch and touch affects the staff who every day performs production activities, tooling, office and warehouse.
