| Sumari: | This research work is based on the analysis of reliability indexes focused on the Average Frequency of Supply Interruptions (FMIK) and the Total Time of Supply Interruptions (TTIK), identifying interruptions within the Distribution System of Empresa Eléctrica Cotopaxi, ELEPCO S.A., which has the purpose of recognizing the causes of interruptions with a higher incidence within the SED, through the study based on data collected in 2020, using spreadsheets for the entry, classification and identification of data with interruptions greater than three minutes. Based on this fact, in order to establish the aforementioned indexes, the regulations in force in the country are taken as a reference, as well as the regulation applied in ELEPCO S.A. ARCERNNER 002/2020, identifying the equations that allow us to calculate the TTIK and FMIK, values that will make possible the comparison with the parameters established in the mentioned regulations, establishing if they are or not within the established limits, in the indicated process it is considered to make the analysis starting from the total of substations that conform the company, arriving to the feeders that belong to each substation. With the indexes obtained, applying the Pareto diagrams we identify the causes with the highest incidence that cause service interruptions, whose results classified in order of frequency, determine the percentage of the most frequent failures within the company, substations and primary circuits (feeders). We determined that the causes with the highest incidence of service interruptions are: environmental, climatic and network disturbances, a study that will serve as future support in the analysis of the quality and reliability of the electrical supply |
