Streszczenie:It is significant to investigate the sound landscape that is shown at every moment and in every place on the planet, where it can be perceived in various types of euphonies, such as musical rhythm, ethnic language, and the sound environment; representing a cultural identity of any community. This project focuses on issues related to the phonic levels of the sound landscape, types, as a form of communication, manifestation of cultural identity, transformation of sound into musical note, among others. Also, this research has as objective to identify the sound landscape that is presented at the “La Mama Negra” party in November, making visible the identity of Latacunga canton. For this, a qualitative methodology is implemented that is processed through research techniques, such as observation, content analysis and execution; resulting in a description and characterization of the celebration of the "La Mama Negra" party through a journalistic genre, which is the interpretive chronicle of an impressionistic approach. In conclusion, the sound landscape that distinguishes "La Mama Negra" party, is through the reverberations, songs, prayers and couplets that every one of the characters of the parade, producing capela sounds in veneration of the "Santísima Virgen de las Mercedes” who, according to the history, helped with the liberation of the slaves, giving a religious particularity to the celebration.
