Determinación de la calidad de agua del rio Yanayacu en los sectores Bellavista y Yanayacu del cantón Salcedo período 2014

The river pollution is a problem that has been dragging on for many centuries has influenced the quality and quantity of water; in the diagnosis of the current situation of water Yanayacu sources of pollution due to agricultural, livestock and discharges from the population identified, the results of laboratory analysis shows that the parameter exceeds the permissible limits established in the regulations current (TULAS - 0.3mg / L) corresponds to fats and oils, the results were: in wet season is exceeded by 100% since 0.6 mg / L was recorded; whereas in the dry season exceeds 120% as 0.66 mg / L was recorded. In addition there are plenty of Total Coliforms, they have not been taken into account because the results were compared with the table of water quality criteria for irrigation; where it was determined that the main source for the presence of fats and oils in water Yanayacu Canton Salcedo, is the direct discharge of wastewater generated in the mechanical "Bellavista", for this reason the proposed mitigation is focused on treatment at the point of origin, finally the proposal itself contains two projects with three treatment strategies which are been developed: the extraction of fats and oils using Gum Arabic and natural or artificial hair, and treatment with a system of grease trap; and a project monitoring and tracking.
