Análisis de la sostenibilidad y competitividad de las empresas turísticas de ocio y recreación cantón Salcedo, provincia de Cotopaxi.

The present investigation was carried out in the Salcedo canton, Cotopaxi province, the same one that had as the analysis of the sustainability and competitiveness of the leisure and recreation companies of the canton. The research has a quantitative methodological approach since data is collected in order to achieve an interpretation of results based on percentages of the study area. In the objectives, the deductive and analytical method was applied so that the method allowed a first analysis and compilation of primary and secondary information to be carried out through surveys and interviews with the owners of each company, in which the current state of the area was identified. of study, in this way it was possible to identify that the canton these 5 leisure and recreation companies that are distributed throughout the canton to measure sustainability, the innovate methodology was built, which is divided into 3 dimensions, economic, social and environmental, each one consists of Out of 10 questions, the results were analyzed by range and average sustainability score from 1 to 10, the average score of the 5 companies is: (1.46, 1.46, 1.4, 1.70, 1.76), for improvement in competitiveness the methodology of the IDB that is divided into 8 dimensions that are strategic planning, production and purchasing, quality assurance, marketing, accounting and finance, human resources, management environmental information, information systems, with 103 questions in the competitiveness variable, the scores range from: (0% - 100%), placing 4 leisure and recreation tourism companies in the range (0% to 20%), very low competitiveness , and from (21% to 40%) 1 low competitiveness company stands out for its management control of its operations. It should be noted that the final grade depends on the documentation presented. In the transformation, the Sepearman methodology was modified, its results of the 5 companies do exist connections because the 5 companies have very low percentages, therefore it means that there is no sustainable internal or external business work to propose the strategies, the entire SWOT matrix was achieved external and internal the crossed SWOT, strategic analysis, all this associated to have the main strategies for the improvement of the companies in terms of the competitive and sustainable progress of the project that must be applied immediately in the leisure and recreation companies of the canton Salcedo of the province of Cotopaxi.
