| description | The present project was made at the Academic Unity of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, in the province of Cotopaxi, in the production facilities of guinea pigs, what relevant of the research was to determine the gain of weight in guinea pigs in fattening stage, so for that was worked with a total of 285 animals in study between males and females, the research was based in making a categorization of the guinea pigs depending on the phenotypic characteristics, (red, red with swirl, painted, painted with swirl, bay and white) each animal will have a code which is useful for us like a referential and precise datum in order to the taking of weights that is made weekly by a period of six weeks, in what we can differenciate to the improved animals that their gain of weight is upper with the same time of food diet in the same established timetables, it provides us a benefit of the essencial nutritive contribution for a better food conversion in the guinea pigs that reflects with a major genetic merit in themselves..... |
