Добавить метку | Итог: | The phenotypic characterization of the creole pig (Suis scrofa) was carried out in Cotopaxi Province, at Latacunga and Pujilí Cantons which are located in the Central Highlands Region of Ecuador. The objectives to be carried out were the phenotypic characterization of the creole pig, establishing the sectors of influence of the creole pig, make a record of the morphological traits, take 17 zoomometric measurements and the eight phaneroptic characteristics of it. The data obtained were analyzed using a descriptive statistic, and five correlations were applied among the variables: live weight, rump width, back elevation, rump elevation, thoracic perimeter, longitudinal diameter and perimeter of the anterior and posterior cane to demonstrate that there is a relationship among them. The data was interpreted, and compared the medians between Latacunga and Pujili Cantons versus the investigations in Loja Province into a linear diagram where a significant similarity in the behavior of the variables was observed.
