Agregar Etiqueta | Sumario: | The research project on migration and values in the education, was developed with the objective of studying the problems generated by the migration of the parents in the lack of values reflected in the behavior of the students of the educational unit "Luis Telmo Paz and Miño" from the province of Cotopaxi, Salcedo Canton, Cusubamba Parish. The research problem is based on migration as a phenomenon caused mainly by social factors such as lack of employment, unfavourable socio-economic conditions, lack of basic services such as health and education, which has Increased the need for people to migrate to other places to access better living conditions and achieve economic stability for their families. As a result of this phenomenon can be described the breakdown of the family, the lack of the father figure and the lack of communication between parents and children, so the family has neglected its role of education in values towards children , this is reflected in the attitudes and behaviors of the students in the educational environment, thus generating the concern of the teachers and authorities, because it harms the school climate and the academic performance. The methodology used in the research is quantitative, bibliographic and field design, and survey and interview techniques, applied to parents, teachers and students of the institution, which will allow to collect the Theoretical and empirical information about the problem investigated. The impact that is sought to achieve with the development of the research is to base the negative effect that has caused the migration of the parents in the process of acquisition of values in the students, allowing thus to describe in depth a problematic That represents a risk factor for the cognitive development of students.
