“Identificación de procesos generadores de desechos contaminantes para el diseño de un sistema de gestión de manejo de residuos sólidos en el área de fundición de aluminio en la empresa Fundymec”

The main problems in the industry are the generation of polluting waste and residues, the wrong collection, classification and temporary storage procedure, for which the purpose of this research work is to design a Management System for the management of polluting solid waste and residues of according to the environmental regulations for the aluminum smelting company FUNDYMEC located in the Province of Cotopaxi of the Salcedo Canton; For this, a diagnosis was made with information and verification in the field of the operational areas in order to know their current status on the management of polluting waste and compliance with Ecuadorian environmental regulations, an analysis and evaluation of risks was carried out. As a result of this analysis, waste and residue management management plans were prepared for their reduction in which the permissible limits are specified according to the characteristics of the residues according to Book VI of the Unified Text of Secondary Legislation of the Ministry of the Environment. (TULSMA), likewise, an Environmental Management System manual was designed with the corresponding documentation to carry out adequate control and maintain a management of actions for a good environmental performance that benefits the company since it allows it to comply with current environmental regulations. .
