Estudio de factibilidad para la producción y comercialización de tilapia roja (oreochromissp) en el cantón Quinsaloma, provincia de Los Ríos, año 2018.

The present investigation titled as: Feasibility study for the production and commercialization of red tilapia (Oreochromissp) in the canton Quinsaloma, province of The Rios, year 2018, was carried out in order to know the viability of the production and commercialization of this type meat of great economic value, fine texture and pleasant taste; It is also important to highlight that this type of business will provide sources of employment, offering a nutritious product at competitive prices, in order to meet the objectives set it was necessary to resort to research: applied, bibliographic that allowed to obtain theoretical information from various authors ; Likewise, the diagnostic investigation was relevant because it was necessary to diagnose the supply and demand of the red tilapia by applying the census to the owners, interviews with the providers and surveys to the 152 families of the canton Quinsaloma. Through the market study it was established that there was a demand of 1'264.210 and an offer of 100,000, giving an unsatisfied demand of 1'164,210 pounds of which it was projected to capture 6.44% with an annual production of 75,000 fish annuals with an approximate weight of 1 pound each for the first year, in addition in the technical study the sketch of the location, availability of resources, production process, distribution of the infrastructure, project requirements, organization was described and the legal framework indispensable for the operation of the company. In the economic and financial study it was possible to know that the total investment required was $ 93.884,99, which were financed by 50% through own capital and the remaining 50% through a bank loan with an interest rate of 11%. . The NPV of the production and commercialization of red tilapia in the "Finca 4 Brothers" reflected a $ 351.886,58, an IRR of 148% and a cost - benefit ratio of $ 2.19, values that demonstrated the viability of this proposal. The return period of the investment was 1 year, 2 months and 8 day.
