Thus, it addresses the problem reading comprehension weakness in third year students at “Organization de los Estados Americanos” Basic Education School. It is located in 8 de September Community, Guangaje Parish, Pujilí, Cotopaxi Province. The following goal was proposed such as: Reading comprehension Strengthen in third year students through playful strategies application in order to understanding levels develop: literal, inferential and criticized evaluative. The methodology was a quantitative approach, combining empirical and theoretical methods. The survey and a pedagogical test were applied as data collection techniques. The first (survey) for teachers and the second (pedagogical test) to students. The results showed that the reading comprehension levels are following: 79% at a literal level, 36% at an inferential level and 17% at a critical value level. It represents the lack of strategies for inferential reading comprehension and evaluative criticism. Consequently, it is necessary to implement playful strategies for reading comprehension development and activities to be carried out after each reading. It will lead students to appropriate understanding effectively and efficiently. Thus, conquering students who are autonomous throughout the teaching-learning process, to which presents a solution proposal. This will help the critical reflection of each student where there is a joy and of reading enjoyment. So, they will have a positive impact on reading comprehension development, keeping the level high and improving the two levels that need to be taken care of. |
