Shrnutí:The present degree work "Technological Applications of the reverse osmosis water purifier in agro-industrial transformation processes"focuses on knowing the operation of this reverse osmosis technology in order to optimize the purification processes and ensure the supply of quality water for the different applications in the agro-industrial plant, by developing an application that takes advantage of the purification process, new possibilities are generated that improve efficiency, accessibility and sustainability in water management in the laboratories of the Technical University of Cotopaxi, as we well know Water plays a fundamental role in agro-industrial production processes and is sometimes an active component of the product. In the present project, bibliographic research was used to prepare the respective operation and maintenance manuals, while descriptive research was used to detail the essential parts, characteristics, and requirements necessary for proper operation. And in turn, carry out preventive maintenance in order to prevent possible damage to internal and external (RO) systems that generate low performance and corrective maintenance after evaluating the components that have already completed their useful life by changing them in a different way. efficient. The results obtained with a total value of dissolved solids for the case of pre-treated water were 525 ppm with a temperature of 21.3°C, while for purified water a total value of dissolved solids of 13 ppm was obtained, also at a temperature of 21.3°C, when compared with the regulations, it complies with the INEN 2200 standard for purified water. In summary, it is necessary to replace the internal elements of the (RO) system in order to improve the water quality. In addition, it is essential to carry out a purge to remove any accumulation of unwanted substances and ensure that the water is of optimal quality.
