| description | The present project was made in the explotation of guinea pigs of the Experimental and Production Center Salache (CEYPSA) of the Academic Unit of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, belonging to the TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF COTOPAXI which had as purpose to determine the gaining of weight in guinea pigs since they born until the growth in male and female for the phenotypic categorization of the animals through the weaning and sexing of new born guinea pig are fifteen days of life, classification in base at the hair color and presence of swirl in the forehead of the animal and its later identification through the assignment of a numeric code recorded in a metal earring that was placed in the right ear of the females and in the left ear in males, achieving with it to cluster the animals according to the phenotypic characteristics of the congeners and then raising registers at those which grouped the gaining of weight took of each animal weekly, the register data were analyzed with which was reached to determine and choose the animals that got the most gaining of weight and it will help to improve the production of the exploitation. |
