Тойм:The present research was carried out at the Sacha Wiwa experimental center, Guasaganda parish, La Maná canton, in Cotopaxi province, whose objectives were to determine the agronomic performance of the grass plains with the application of organic and chemical fertilizers. A completely randomized block design was used, with three treatments and seven replications with four cutting ages (30, 45, 60, and 75 days), for the statistical analysis applied Tukey's multiple range test at 5% probability. The variables evaluated were plant height, the weight of grass production (g), the leaf's weight and stems (g), the chemical composition of the grass, and production costs. The soil had a pH of 5.4, which was acidic, the organic matter level was low at 1.0%, and the soil textural class was loam, which employed 3.2 kg of lime to regulate the soil acidity. Also, for the treatments used the control treatment, the treatment with chemical fertilization (Urea +DAP+ Muriate of potassium), and organic fertilization (Bioabor BBO). The greatest height was achieved with the chemical treatment at 180.09 cm after 75 days. The highest production in weight of the grass plains is obtained with the chemical treatment with a weight of 1333.33g at 75 days. The highest leaf weight was acquired with the chemical treatment of 290.52g at 75 days. The highest stem weight was achieved with the chemical treatment at 997.81g at 75 days. The highest concentrations of nutrients were observed at different stages of maturity in the leaves, such as Mn (118.00) at 30 days, Ca (0.94) at 60 days, and N (3.01) at 75 days, while the maximum concentrations in the stems were at 30 days with K (3.92), S (0.13), and Cu (14.00), at 45 days Ca (0.93), Mg (0.33), and at 75 days with Fe (100.00). While with organic fertilization, maximum leaf concentrations were obtained at 30 days with S (0.15), at 45 days with P(0.26), K(1.99), Ca(0.32), Cu(19.00), Zn(27.00), and at 60 days with Fe(140.00). Finally, the maximum concentrations in the stems were at 45 days with P (0.30) and Zn (51.00). The costs of treatments gave a value of 1.17 USD per square meter by experimental area in the project, thus fulfilling all our objectives set at the beginning of our research.
