| Resumo: | The actual research project was performed with the purpose to determine the microbiological traceability into poorly monitored sites contaminated with arsenic from natural sources at 3441 m.a.s.l., in the Tiliche community, Cotopaxi province. For this, it was established the study area biophysical characterization from 3400 to 3500 m.s.n.m., with the shapefiles help, it was represented the components, such as the climate type, temperature, precipitation, geology, etc., graphically, for determining the water quality and the arsenic concentration present into water resource, it was followed the suggested methodology by LANCAS laboratory for taking samples and the results were compared with current regulation (TULSMA 2015 and INEN 1108-2020). It was established the microbiological traceability in arsenic concentrations into water resource, for this, it was performed the isolation technique by streak. Getting as a result, what this area, there is the natural origin arsenic presence, since it is found close to the snowy Ilinizas and that contaminates the water resource. Into January and March months, there was variation in the sampled parameters, due to the higher rainfall presence, being this water unfit for human consumption and irrigation. It was identified the genera Enterococcus, Enterobacteria, Pseudomonas and Salmonella different bacteria presence, the same ones, what survive in the arsenic concentrations, it can been indicate, what this water resource is not suitable, since there is contamination both arsenic and microorganisms, which can cause different diseases to the inhabitants from community and to the crops. |
