Résumé:Ecuador preserves in its territory populations that possess an intangible cultural heritage of incomparable value, which is annually materialized in religious festivals to create a bond among the inhabitants and thereby express the feeling the people that seeks to remember and preserve its cultural legacy that identifies them as a collectivity since the festivals are precisely temporary spaces to transmit their customs and traditions as the most precious of their values. This research focused on elaborating a festivities guide for San Buenaventura parish of Latacunga canton, Cotopaxi province, to inform the local and regional population about this traditional festival has a religious and cultural background. This project focused on the intangible cultural heritage, social uses, rituals, and festive events at San Buenaventura parish. In the first phase, a diagnosis of the tourist system of the study area will be carried out where the current state of infrastructure, security, and mobility was identified; then a description of the festivals that take place in the neighborhoods of the parish will be made through the methodologies of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage, scope three, and the ethnographic method that will help obtain synthesized information and photographs of the activities that take place during the different celebrations; there was the problem that not everyone was willing to collaborate due to the COVID-19 pandemic to develop interviews to the residents of the neighborhoods and managers; however, the biosafety measures were respected to develop this research. Through field research work, it was possible to select information and data to design the festivities guide that is part of the tourist information at San Buenaventura parish Latacunga and thus disseminate the intangible cultural heritage in the locality.
