| Summary: | The present project was developed because there is a lack of spare parts in the automotive field, mainly those that are made of plastic materials, so the manufacture of the mechanical steering horn of the Hyundai Excel model 94 automobile is proposed, this was done will be carried out using 3D replica techniques using CAD/CAE/CAM tools, the process began with the measurement of the diameters and heights of the horn using the vernier caliper, the modeling of the piece was carried out using the software " Inventor", after that, a computational analysis was executed to assess the physical and mechanical properties of the ABS material for reconstruction, using the Sol idWorks software, a static study was applied, for which a working temperature was considered. of 25 °C, mentioning that the Von Mises stress analysis presents an elastic limit of 7252 psi and the maximum range of elasticity is 578.8 psi, which is why the material does not tend to deform. In the displacement simulation there are negligible values being a maximum of 0.01 mm, for the values of the unitary deformation it presents values below unity and the safety factor presents values greater than 7.6 concluding that the ABS material to be used presents good conditions for manufacturing of the horn, finishing with the manufacturing part, the “Ultimaker Cura” software was used to link to the “3D injection printer” machine, selecting work parameters such as positioning, loading height, wall perimeter, filling, temperature, support , cooling and speed, obtaining approximately 3 hours of printing, again the vernier caliper was used where the dimensions of the horn were validated and it was inserted into the mechanical steering system. |
