Résumé:The main objective of this research was to strengthen the teaching-learning process of Language and Literature through intercultural methodological strategies. This subject is the basis of the acquisition of knowledge since it is which literacy skills are developed, however, it presents problems that hinder its correct teaching. The methodology used for the study followed a quantitative approach, with an exploratory, descriptive and applied scope, applying the fundamentals of fieldwork. The participants of the study were the teachers, authorities and students of the Educational Unit "Jean Piaget" district Latacunga and Intercultural Bilingual Educational Unit "Jatari Unancha" district Pujilí – Saquisilí who were applied as instruments of information collection the interview and the survey. The main results of the study showed that there are shortcomings in the use and application of intercultural methodological strategies by teachers, mainly due to ignorance and because they are accustomed to using traditional methodologies. For this reason, a guide was designed that obtained positive effects helping learners to correctly acquire the contents of the Language and Literature area.
