Sumari:Now, world society is experiencing an aggressive technological invasion and the wrong use of free time, the results are clearly reflected in the children’s activities, young people, adolescents and adults who have neglected sport, recreation and physical activity. In this context, the teachers of the Second and Third grade of Basic General Education of “La Moya" school, had not articulated physical activity to the teaching-learning processes, greatly damaging the cognitive development of their students; making classroom activities passive. Within this framework, the main objective of this work is to propose a practical guide to physical activities that promote cognitive development in the Second and Third Year students of Basic General Education at “La Moya” school. The present study corresponds to the quantitative paradigm, it responds to a basic modality, documentary bibliography and field research, due to its level of depth and objectives it is an explanatory research; the techniques used to collect information were the interview applied to the teacher and the observation to the students, using instruments such as the question guide and a checklist, respectively. The results of the institutional diagnosis on the subject of study reveal great shortcomings in the classroom work characterized by sporadic and improvised practices of physical activities that visibly affect the cognitive development of children. From this perspective, the product of this research has made an important contribution to the fact that teachers didactically carry out physical activities within the classroom to strengthen their students' self-esteem, physical, emotional and cognitive development.
