Resumo:This research study was carried out in the ‘La Esperanza’ Parish, Pujilí Canton, Cotopaxi province, in the bioclimatic floor (BsBn04), from 1400 m.a.s.l to 2000 m.a.s.l at ‘Bosque Siempre Verde Pie montano’ of ‘Los Andes’ mountain range. The main objective was the morphological characterization of the floral tree species ‘Guayacán’ (Tabebuia ochracea Cham) and ‘Lengua de vaca’ (Eschweilera Mart. ex DC.) Two phases were implemented: the first one was on the field where the morphometric analysis of the external part of the flower was carried out. A methodology of collection, conservation and transport of flowers was used. In the second phase was determined the characterization of the internal structures of the flower, it was carried out in the Laboratory. For this process, it was based on a guide called "The flower, inflorescence and fruit" developed by: Richard Acostupa (2010). The time of flowering of the species under study on one hand the Tabebuia ochracea Cham was determined and it registers a long 3-month flowering period, it began the first week of March and concludes the fourth week of May. It presents an inflorescence in umbel; flower heteroclamídea its chalice is gamosépala it has five sepals, with a gamosépala corolla with five petals. And the androecium consists of four anthers and the gynoecium has a superior ovary, unicarpelar, unilocular and uniovular, it has a yellow color. On the other hand, the Eschweilera Mart. ex DC, the flowering stage begins the first week of March until the second week of March and concludes the fourth week of May. On the other hand, the Eschweilera Mart. ex DC, the flowering stage begins the first week of March until the second week of April. It is a heteroclamid flower, the chalice is diali-sepal, and it has six sepals and six petals. And the androecium has infinite anthers and the gynoecium has a superior ovary, unicarpelar, unilocular and uniovular, it has a lilac fuchsia color with purple.
