Özet:This study investigated the efficiency and economic impact of different lighting technologies in hospital environments. LED and fluorescent luminaires were compared in terms of luminous efficacy, lifespan and associated costs. The results showed that LED luminaires have a higher luminous efficacy (111 Lm/W) and a longer useful life (100,000 hours) compared to fluorescent ones (108 Lm/W and 60,000 hours). Using lumen and initial flux methods, the optimal number and arrangement of luminaires was determined to ensure adequate light distribution in critical areas such as operating rooms and emergency rooms. Simulations in DIALux Evo confirmed the effectiveness of these light distributions. Additionally, the cost-benefit was evaluated, revealing an annual savings of $781.14 USD when switching to LED lighting. This study offers a systematic approach to improving lighting quality in hospitals, highlighting the efficiency and durability of LED luminaires as a cost-effective and sustainable option to optimize lighting design in critical healthcare environments.
