Summary:The research was developed with the aim of building a catalyst electrolytic capacitor for obtaining hydrogen to store electrical energy in a fuel cell system for the Renewable Energy Laboratory of the Technical University of Cotopaxi. The document gathers information, select components and implements the necessary equipment for power generation, through the conversion of hydrogen production, on the basis of a primary energy source such as solar. So the result is concluded with the construction of a catalyst electrolyte which consists of 7 plates of stainless steel 120 * 120mm and 3mm thick, connected in a series configuration. Whose electrical characteristics of operation are 12Vdc and 1.16A. through the scientific method was determined a theoretical hydrogen production of 11.9 ml/s. After further analysis and measurement of results obtained in practice a gas flow rate of 8.78ml/s....
