It was evaluated the behavior of 12 crossbred cows in production, distributed in 3 treatments: T0 - (control treatment with basic feeding), T1 (nutritional block with chelated selenium) and T2 ((nutritional block with non-chelated selenium); with 4 low repetitions a Completely Random Design (DCA). Initially, the laboratory analysis of the quality of the nutritional blocks, the quality of milk samples before the trial and a serological analysis of part of the cows that entered the trial were performed, to perform a descriptive and comparative analysis of the results. Then, through the statistical package Infostat, the ADEVA of the weight gain of the animals, milk production, feed consumption is performed. It was observed a significant difference (p> 0.05) in the gain X of weight of the cows in week 1 being the best T2 20 kg / cow average, while in weeks 2, 3 and 4 there are no statistical differences. Regarding the increase in milk production during the test period, the differences are not significant for the three treatments. Regarding the Cost / Benefit (C / B) analysis performed between treatments T1 and T2, it is observed that when using T2 (block with non-chelated Selenium) it was better with a C / B of 1.25 USD. |

Se evaluó el comportamiento de 12 vacas mestizas en producción, distribuidos en 3 tratamientos: T0 - (tratamiento testigo con alimentación base), T1 (bloque nutricional con selenio quelatado) y T2 ((bloque nutricional con Selenio no quelatado); con 4 repeticiones bajo un Diseño Completamente al Azar (DCA). Inicialmente se realizó el análisis de laboratorio de la calidad de los bloques nutricionales, la calidad de muestras de leche antes del ensayo y un análisis serológico de parte de las vacas que ingresaron al ensayo, para realizar un análisis descriptivo y comparativo de los resultados. Luego mediante el paquete estadístico Infostat se realiza el ADEVA de la ganancia de pesos de los animales, producción de leche, consumo de alimento. Se observa diferencias significativas (p>0,05) en la ganancia de peso de las vacas en la semana 1 siendo el mejor T2 20 kg/vaca promedio; mientras que en las semanas 2,3 y 4 no hay diferencias estadísticas. En cuanto al incremento de producción de leche durante el período de prueba las diferencias no son significativas para los tres tratamientos.
