| Summary: | The educational process presents changes that demand new skills to respond to society needs, the same ones that should focus on promotion recreational activities where physical exercise is involved, since it is an important factor to improve health and its arouse the interest and students motivation. The objective of this research work is to promote physical activity through recreational games that improve emotional well-being of second-year students of Basic General Education at “Vicente León" Educational Unit located in Latacunga canton, Cotopaxi province, 2022-2023 school year. The methodology was based on interpretive approach, since it allowed to understand reality of the social context in its own nature; it responds to qualitative research; inductive method; The technique was the interview addressed to the teacher and authority and a survey that was applied to the students which allowed to obtain valuable information that is found at classroom environment. The results are part of the development of the manual based on physical activity, which is offered to students. teachers of the educational unit to carry out new and different activities, focused to promote knowledge about the importance and care of physical activity. This project contributes to development of healthy living practices, over children in their emotional state in a positive way, causing joy, happiness, motivation, as well as on cognitive part, so that students will improve their learning process in all subjects. Finally, teaching-learning processes must be active and centered on students who can build, adapt, modify, enrich their skills, knowledge, and eliminate obsolete strategies. |
