Streszczenie:The research project, titled as "Socioeconomic factors and their impact on unemployment of workers in PYMES of Valencia canton, 2021" was developed with the main objective of describing the socioeconomic factors that generate an impact on the unemployment of workers in PYMES in Valencia canton, 2021. The methodological approach of the research project was not only qualitative, but also deductive method. In order to provide answers to the specific objectives of the research, it was necessary to make the use of bibliographic research to facilitate the structuring of the theoretical framework, so providing the theoretical foundations of different authors on the variables to be studied. In the same way, field research was used to obtain data for identifying the socioeconomic factors and the impact on unemployment among workers of Valencia canton. For this purpose, surveys were applied to a total of 327 workers and owners of PYMES of Valencia canton to identify the relation between socioeconomic factors and unemployment. The instruments for data collection were validated by applying the Cronbach's Alpha method whose pilot test was carried out. It showed a result of 0.787 that determines that the questionnaires are validated and totally applicable in the field study. The achieved results in the field study allowed to deduce that from the 327 investigated PYMES, 162 have dismissed employees from their workplaces, it means a total of 565 employees in the year 2020. The total of dismissed employees is divided in 213 women and 352 men. In the year 2021, 309 employees were dismissed from their workplaces, being 136 women and 173 men. In conclusion, more men than women have been dismissed, with 50.85 % of dismissals in men and 35.15 % in women, in comparative relation between the years 2020 and 2021. It is also determined that the reasons for dismissals that occurred in the 162 PYMES were mainly generated by the health of the employees with 56 cases, by pandemic problems 52, and by economic factors of the PYMES 54 cases.
