Análisis de la Planta Turística Ocio y Recreación del Cantón Saquisili Provincia de Cotopaxi.

The present investigation was carried out with the purpose of analyzing the leisure and recreation tourism plant of the Saquisilí canton through the elaboration of an inventory of the tourist establishments and places to generate a descriptive catalog, a tool that will allow to publicize the recreational activities. For this purpose, discussions were held with the promotors of the parish GADS, field visits around the cantonal territory and documents such as the Territorial Development Plan of the Saquisilí canton and parochial tourism projects were analyzed. To carry out the inventory, an on-site visit was made to the tourist sites, allowing to know the characteristics, services and type of tourist site and establishments. In addition, the tourist and recreational touristic activity sheets were used, in which it is divided into parameters such as: important data of the establishment and tourist site (name, address, location and contact numbers), the type of site or establishment (natural , cultural, nocturnal or other), the infrastructure that has a site for the recreational use of the tourist, the basic services that is an important complement in the development of tourist activities, the number of visitors that arrive at these sites and how often make. The descriptive catalog of the tourist leisure and recreation plant will serve as an information tool since it allows to publicize the existing tourist offer in the Saquisilí canton. In the elaboration of the descriptive catalog, the photographs and information compiled by the cards will be added, where all the establishments and tourist sites will be placed by parish. From this investigation it was obtained that the canton Saquisilí possesses 6 establishments and 18 tourist sites distributed in its four parishes and that they have limited tourist services for the development of leisure and recreation activities, so that the tourist services could be improved. and interest on the part of the authorities of Saquisilí, to be included in the tourist development of the parishes, strengthening their organizational level that allows them to generate alliances with public and educational institutions that provide training to generate ventures taking advantage of the tourist resources of Saquisilí.
