La importancia de la equidad de género en las actividades de recreación

Gender equity is a topic subject to various conflicts that affect the educational environment and consequently society, since it is immersed as a revolution of various negative factors that produce changes in the students’ lives for both men and women. This study comes from the need to research the importance of gender equity in leisure activities with the students of "San José de Guaytacama" Educational Unit in Latacunga Canton, Cotopaxi Province. It defines some of the stereotypes that society has been following years ago, it has caused students to transfer attitudes, such as: discrimination, verbal, psychological and physical aggression, avoiding that there are appropriate interpersonal relationships in the group of students. This study aimed to achieve the general objective which diagnoses the importance of gender equity in leisure activities. This study had a formative approach because of important and decisive steps which must be taken to choose the method that led me to obtain valuable results and gave answers to the stated objectives in this research.
