| Shrnutí: | This research was carried out at Granja Producuy in Salcedo canton. This work had as general objective to evaluate cuyes balanced diet (Cavia porcellus) based on palm kernel and red palm oil in the fattening stage, the specific objectives were performed to bromatological analysis and nutritional content, also to determine the productive parameters and the better treatment for the fattening phase. For this research, a student T test was proposed where there were two treatments, each one with ten experimental units in individual ponds, the first treatment was considered as a balanced experimental, while the second treatment was a balanced commercial, the animals had an initial weight (320 – 375 g). Every eight days the data was taken of the dependent variables like length, weight, consumption of food, food conversion and performance to the canal; also, the costs of production were realized, the evaluation was completed when 80% of the animals reached an alive final weight of 1200g and the sacrifice was carried out to determine the performance to the canal. The "BALAN - CUY" applied a bromatological analysis to obtain its nutritional composition where it obtained the following values (protein 18,9%, energy 339 kcal/100g, fiber 5,59% and fat 5,75%). According to the physical chemical analysis of meat made in an accredited laboratory, first treatment animals obtained these values (protein 15.88%, fat 5.83%), in the analysis of the fat lipid profile the following value was obtained (45.35% fat). The cost of production of the experimental balance was $26.85 (40 kg), while the commercial balance has a cost of $ 26.80 (40 kg) animal production costs were also realized, where the first treatment had a unit cost of $ 10.36 and second treatment animals with a cost of $ 10.7, an average weight to the canal of (890 g) and a length of (36 cm). |
