Description
Summary:The present investigation was developed in the "VITRO PLANTAS" biotechnology laboratory, which is located in the Canton Cevallos of the Province of Tungurahua. The tree tomato is one of the crops of great importance and also the social and economic impact within the families of the producers, due to the proliferation of diseases, which is why its propagation has been affected since after a certain time varietal purity is lost, for this reason the research was developed with the general objective: To determine an in vitro propagation protocol from apical explants of tree tomato (Solanum Betaceum), the following specific objectives were set: the method of disinfection of tree tomato explants that allows establishing in vitro with low levels of contamination, the ideal culture medium for the multiplication phase of tree tomato explants in in vitro conditions was determined. The treatments to be used are: T1 MS + AIA (mg/L) + BAP (1mg/L); T2 MS + BAP (1mg/L); MS T3 + BAP (0.25mg/L) + GA3 (0.25mg/L); T4 MS (Control). It was determined that of the 4 treatments used, the T4 called MS control with a concentration of 2.5 g gives better results, as the second best treatment T3 with the culture medium MS+BAP(0.25mg/L) + GA3(0.25mg /L), obtaining results in variables of shoot length and number of leaves per explant, the culture medium with the lowest result was T2 MS + BAP 1mg/L, because the lowest average was obtained in variables such as number of leaves per explant and shoot length.
