| Summary: | This research was conducted at Floriculture EQR Company - The Chilintosa. It is located at 2974 meters. Its coordinates 0 ° 47'37,7 " South , 78 ° 35'27,02 " West, Latacunga Canton, Mulaló ; Cotopaxi Province . Here, we proceeded to study the ergonomic conditions in the growing area workers. This led the management development plan for ergonomic hazards. This determined the workers´ occupational conditions health using the OCRA and RULA methods. In addition, we proceeded to study the thermal heat stress using the WBGT method. This action allowed the plan to develop preventive ergonomic risk factors identified as critical to the health of workers. Applying the OCRA Checklist with 6 activities they develop during the working day is 8 hours per day in which 5 of these are within the Acceptable risk index ( Harvest Flower , Flower removing buds, determined Cleanliness Removing plant leaves and brush ). While only 1 is in the Not Acceptable index, mild level (Height of beds) among which it stands out : repetitive body movement and forced positions in the development of these activities. While according to WBGT workers applied this showed that most workers found a degree of obesity in Type I (overweight), they are at risk for heat stress and the increase in temperature and moisture and also because of the conditions of plastic and clothing, accompanied by the activity it performs, it makes the body temperature by exposing them to risk of cardiovascular type increases. It may conclude that workers perform activities from one task to another, both internally and externally and repetitive movements and awkward positions, allowing the emergence of occupational diseases in women than in men, due to other activities these made outside working hours (washing, ironing, agriculture, cooking, etc.). We are having interpreted the data plan implementation occupational safety and health, followed by training staff on occupational risk prevention is recommended in addition to creating and socializing programs active breaks according to the activities workers perform and monitor Nutritional part and maintain permanent hydration in each of the blocks of the flower, in order to reduce fatigue, dehydration and fatigue. |
